The Hero Rush event in Clash of Clans is a one-week event running from August 13 to 20, giving players a new way to farm Dark Elixir and convert it into a temporary currency called Pop Elixir. This event is designed for clans to work together and unlock milestone rewards, including a rare free scenery.
One of the biggest advantages is that you can use your heroes while they are upgrading, making it the perfect time to push upgrades and still attack. Dark Elixir gained from any source—attacks, drills, or loot carts—automatically converts to Pop Elixir, which you then contribute at the soda stand in your village. Even overflowing storage won’t stop you from earning Pop Elixir, making it highly farmable. Enemy heroes also drop extra Dark Elixir during attacks, so bringing headhunters is recommended.
The event also features a boost weekend that triples the Pop Elixir you earn, not the Dark Elixir itself, making farming during that window especially rewarding. Rewards mirror the earlier Gold Rush event, with 20 chests unlocked at clan milestones and 750 Splash Medals available along the way. The final milestone is the cosmetic scenery, which requires more grinding but is achievable with enough contributors.
Clans can have up to 100 contributors (despite the 50-member cap) as people can join, contribute, and leave. However, rewards can only be claimed once per player, and you must be in the clan when milestones are reached. Unlike Clan Games, leaving or being kicked means you can’t claim rewards later, so it’s best to claim them as they unlock.
Overall, Hero Rush is a chance to stockpile Dark Elixir, upgrade heroes freely, and earn collective clan rewards, with the highlight being a free scenery—something not given away since Clash’s 10th anniversary.
